What makes a great beer? It needs to be well-crafted and showing the brewer’s art, it also must be properly fermented, not have any technical flaws, and be fresh.

Our keynote speaker for BrewCon 2017 is How to Brew author John Palmer was born and raised in Midland, Michigan. John worked in the space program at a failure analysis lab in Irvine, California, and has helped design, build, and inspect hardware that is currently orbiting us now on the International Space Station.

He is the author of the bestsellers How to Brew, the definitive book on making quality beers at home, covering the full range of brewing possibilities. He has also written one of the homebrewer’s go to book, Brewing Classic Styles, co-authored with Jamil Zainasheff and more recently Water: A Comprehensive Guide for Brewers, on taking the mystery out of water’s role in the brewing process – John has taken up more book space in our libraries than most.

John is our keynote speaker and will talk about how to broaden your brewing.
